Ramen Charm

A lot of work goes into making a homemade bowl of ramen – the same goes for this (inedible!!) ramen charm! I crafted each “ingredient” – the noodles, nori (seaweed), carrot, ajitsuke tamago (marinated egg), narutomaki, and scallions – individually out of polymer clay, and added the “broth” using epoxy resin after oven-curing the clay.

The red and black bowl is also made out of clay; I pressed disks of each color together, carefully shaped them into a half-sphere, and added ridges around the outside. To make the chopsticks, I cut two metal eye-pins and wrapped them in a thin layer of black clay.
